Kathleen McLacken

I am a 1976 graduate of Rhode Island Junior College ( now known as CCRI ! ) I started with DeWitt Animal Hospital in 1976, just one month before graduation. My Medical Secretarial course background has helped me become a “go to person” as I can and have filled multiple clerical and reception roles over the years.

My interest in dog training started in 2006, when I enrolled my first puppy in the socialization classes at DeWitt Animal Hospital with Leah Snow. I fell in love with the idea of training and working with the young puppies and have since earned my Instructor and Evaluator Certificates with the A.P.D.T.A. C.L.A.S.S. program ( American Pet Dog Trainers Association, Canine Life and Social Skills ) as well as the A.K.C. C.G.C. Evaluator certification ( American Kennel Club, Canine Good Citizen ). I have also completed the Karen Pryor Academy Shelter Training and Enrichment course and most recently the Karen Pryor Academy Puppy Start Right course.

DeWitt Animal Hospital is honored to have Kathie with us for 40 years as of May 24 2016 !

Vounteering at the North Attleboro Animal Shelter, walking on the beach, reading, learning new things and developing new skills, spending time with my 4 dogs (Bentley, Cheyenne, Finnegan & Rhapsody) and my 4 cats (Autumn, Aslan, Gandolph and Gidget).
