Appointment Policy

To accommodate you better and ensure we are maximizing our team’s time to see more patients in need, we have implemented the following appointment confirmation policy.

You need to notify us if you cannot keep your appointment. We charge a no show fee for those who no show no call.

Here’s how it will work:

  • 5 days prior to your appointment, you will receive an email and text message reminder to make sure the appointment still works with your schedule. If not, we encourage you to call us to reschedule.
  • 3 days prior to your appointment, you will receive an email and text message reminder with a request to confirm your appointment.
  • 2 days prior to your appointment, you will receive an email and text message reminder with a request to confirm your appointment.
  • 1 day prior to your appointment – If you have not yet confirmed your appointment, you will receive a text message from our practice asking you to confirm your appointment by 4 pm. Unconfirmed appointments will be released so that another pet can be scheduled.

The goal of this policy is to increase our availability to treat pets in need.

Prescription Policy

We respect the desire and rights of our clients to get their pet’s medication from the pharmacy of their choice. Unfortunately however, due to the ever-increasing number of pharmacy requests that are inappropriate, inaccurate, and need significant team member time to review for accuracy and or correct due to errors, potential reactions or other follow-up needed, we have had to re-evaluate our approach and institute a clear, consistent policy regarding all prescription requests, regardless of source.

We want to help ensure your pet receives the medications they need conveniently and safely. To do so we ask you to review the following:

  • To review records and verify correct dosages, potential reactions, and / or the need for diagnostic testing or patient exams, please allow for 48 hours of processing time. Additional time may be needed if requests are submitted over holiday weekends.
  • If you would like to continue using an outside online pharmacy, we understand and will provide a written prescription that will be available for you to pick up at the clinic or we can mail the prescription directly to you. We do not charge for this service. You can then send this prescription to the pharmacy of your choice.
